After writing to our directors and talking to our site EH&S lady I’ve managed to increase works recycling effort! For some reason we used to only recycle aluminum and “white office paper” but not any more! Now we’re recycling glass, plastic, cardboard and aluminum!
In honor of this, I went to the self checkout at King Soopers and took a whole stack of plastic bags. On the way home, I threw them out the window one by one in hopes that they get stuck in trees and disrupt wildlife.
Woo, good job! 😀
While on a recent trip to The Deep South, I found I wasn’t able to recycle anything at all. I took my recyclables back home to Seattle so they wouldn’t end up in a landfill.
Of course, those few extra ounces caused the jet to burn more fuel… But I felt better. 😉
Wow! Now that’s dedication! Bad news though, I found out the other night that the cleaning staff is just dumping the blue recycling bins into the trash. What’s the point of having recycling bins if they aren’t emptied into the correct bins? Oh and for whatever reason people at work still don’t get that they can recycle their plastic bottles…
